SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed in regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider place created SRD for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
